Scenes From the Virginia Blizzard

Yeah, I’m right in the middle of that, here in Northern Virginia.

Wonderful clip of video courtesy of the Washington Post. BUT the Post website ids the scenes as exclusively in D.C.  So “the VIRGINIA Blizzard”?!  Give me a break. We here in central Maryland are up to our waist in snow, too.  The video and the production are from D.C., not Virginia.

Wish Al Gore would stop messing with or climate!  Reminds me of Buckley’s law of government:  anything the government tries to do, an opposite and equal effect will result.

Yeah, really beautiful.

My back is killing me from shoveling, and they are predicting another ten inch plus snowfall tomorrow.  This is the Washington area, not New Hampshire!

This winter is definitely one for the record books!  Here in Southern MD, the schools are taking it day by day, but no one believes that we will get there until next week!  Very pretty, and DC only slows down for snow, so I have few complaints.  Just pray the electricity stays on!

I just saw this Sarah—How pretty! Thanks for posting. Our area of VA ended up w/ about 40” after the second storm piled on. It was beautiful, but losing power was a little scary. One thing that amazed me—during the second storm, even with the high winds, you could hear the birds singing. I opened a window to get a video, and along with the howling of the wind, the clattering of the snow as it hits everything, bird song rises and fills every nook.
