The New Stupid Party

There are many Americans who are dissatisfied with choosing between Barack Obama and Mitt Romney fo president. I can understand their frustration. Fortunately, there is now a ticket that will be a choice, not an echo. CNN reports:

Exactly one year after announcing her White House bid on “The Tonight Show,” actress and comedian Roseanne Barr won the presidential nomination of the Peace and Freedom Party Saturday in Los Angeles.

Barr’s vice presidential running-mate is Cindy Sheehan, the mother of a soldier killed in Iraq and anti-war activist best known for her protest outside of then-President George W. Bush’s Crawford, Texas, ranch.

“Cindy and I are the ‘Throw the Bums Out’ ticket and the ‘Ballot Access’ ticket. The American people are sick and tired of this ‘lesser evil’ garbage they get fed every election year,” said Barr before the party’s convention vote, which was held at the United Methodist Church in Los Angeles. “Both the Democrats and the Republicans do the same evils once they’re in office.”

Not sure what church it was in L.A. that hosted the convention, but it might have been this one:

May they draw a multitude of votes from the current administration’s cache.

Actually, I hope they somehow manage to get elected.

Can you think of a better way to guarantee the victory of an authentically conservative candidate four years later with about 95% of the vote?  That’s if we have a country left, but it’s up for grabs anyway.

The slumbering masses will be clamoring for a return to robber baron capitalism and the appointment of strict constructionists to the Supreme Court.  Right after these two put some finishing touches on Welfare State socialism and the entire Federal government collapses under its own weight.

And, by all means, let Cindy have her way with foreign policy.  Maybe the Campfire Girls can stop the Iranians somewhere east of Chicago.

I say, roll the dice and put a slob in the White House.  Then see what happens.  But I’m an inveterate optimist.

I love it when a political party doesn’t take itself seriously.

(The irony of that statement is not lost on its author, believe you me!)

“Maybe the Campfire Girls can stop the Iranians somewhere east of Chicago.”

cheese

Exactly. I doubt even the most whacked out liberals would trust these two in office, no matter how pure their intentions may be.

Perhaps they will have a Minister of Silly Walks?

Obama is a bad president, but he is not a slob…

The Cabinet cd be the old Fruit of the Loom from SNL.

I’m glad I’m a registered voter, and that there’s someone OTHER THAN the R or D candidates!
(Alas, I am, but there’s not.)
