“Why is she engaging in a disquisition on free speech with the mob?”
For reasons I won’t go into here, I’m not usually a big fan of Krauthammer’s opinions, but I think he nails it in his remarks that are partially transcribed over at NRO—there’s more good comment over at the same post:
It looks as if the administration has no idea what it thinks about what has just happened. We had that statement coming out of the embassy in Cairo, which was a disgraceful apology. And Romney attacks it — the White House hadn’t said anything — but after the Romney attack, the State Department denies it or disavows it [and] the White House does.
And then, of course, everybody jumps on Romney because he criticized it. He was absolutely right in attacking it.
When we heard from Secretary of State Clinton, she basically repeated the apology: I oppose all this… We don’t have any sympathy with… we deplore… I find it disgusting…
The worst line in the clip that you showed was this — where she said that “there are different views around the world about the outer limits of free speech.” Why is she engaging in a disquisition on free speech with the mob? The implication here is that perhaps the mob is right, that we ought to be suppressing anything that offends Islam.
This in a nation that when somebody puts a crucifix in bottle of urine it ends up in a museum– we allow all kinds of expression. But perhaps we ought to make an exception in the case of Islam? This is absurd.
She ought to be speaking to the heads of state, to the State Department equivalents in the other states and say: You speak with your mob, you talk to them about this — and you defend our embassies.

And now we have the Obama Justice Department hunting down the guy who suppoosedly made the trailer, digging the dirt on him, and fingering him to the local fuzz just in case he’s done something that violated his parole. So the gendarmes roust the fellow with the cliched midnight knock on the door for a little “voluntary questioning” down at the station.
Oh, and the feds are also busy leaning on Google to pull the trailer from YouTube.
I could have sworn the Allies came out on top in 1945…but something tells me I’m wrong.

Well, Jeffersonian, remember that one of the Allies was the Soviet Union…

She is talking about free speech to put us off the trail that the attack in Lybia may have been a targeted, planned attack that should have been foreseen.

This adminstration is all about deception. They don’t care about truth, only politics, and only about staying in power.
Shame on the Obama administration for their “Keystone Cops” handling of Americans being killed on American soil - AN ACT OF WAR. This folks is VERY serious business, and the Obama administration makes it sound like some sort of “Occupy Wall Street” demonstration.
Romney sounded completely Presidential, and was spot-on in his criticism of the Obama Administration (which does include the embassies and State Department - what the heck ever happened to “the buck stops here” anyways?).
Obama sounded lame AND once again refused to answer questions. Like where were the Marines? And why don’t our troops guarding our embassies have live ammo? And how did the ambassador die? Was he “abused”? And what are we doing to find those that attacked our embassies?

Old saying, “It is an ill wind that blows no good”. From this shameful deed by the Whitehouse et al., TWO of my liberal friends have decided they cannot vote for Obama! When you get so low you shame LIBERALS…....
