But They’re Still Smarter Than You

That would be the mainstream media, where pretty much anything up in the air has to have something to do with global warming. From the Media Research Center:

And remember: anyone who denies the theory of anthropogenic climate change is STOOOOOOOOOOPID!

Really? This shows how scientifically ignorant this country really is. Sigh. I shudder thinking about the politics that gets into scientific textbooks as “fact”.

Don’t believe that the polar bears are on their last legs either.

I am so tired of the leftist media rewriting history and natural history. Of course, with the rotten school system in this country (controlled by the teachers union), there are few students with sufficient knowledge to be aware of the falsehoods, lies, and omissions.

You are right, Sophy. And sadly not many teachers either that know enough science to actually inform students of the facts.

Every time this comes up I always recall that when the environmental movement got started we were hurtling towards the next ice age.  They were probably predicting that Miami would have its own natrual ice rinks by now.

I have got to pass this along. When my wife saw this, her reaction was, “Asteroids? Next things you know they’ll be blaming global warming for hemorrhoids!”

LOL! David. How true. Is it not just a knee jerk reaction to blame science “du jour” for whatever catastrophe has happened? There does not need to be a reasonable link!

But surely we can all agree with the woman who claimed Global Warming was responsible for all of the violence and shooting deaths in Chicago.

This news anchor claims to have a BA from a reputable college.  It’s not a science degree, of course, but how on earth could anyone make such a stupid comment?

On FB I am blogging with a whole group of folks regarding evolution vs. intellegent design.  They are so convinced that science backs them up - that I am some idiot that knows nothing about science and that they need to “school” me.  They can’t see that it’s bad science - that if you look around there is ZERO proof - all creatures are fully-formed and there isn’t anything in a “transitional” state.  Global warming seems similar to me.  Or claiming that if we hadn’t spent our way into oblivion these past 5 years that “things would be worse”.
