I am also disappointed in the way the thread has gone. What on earth? Now we are going to miss out on the great comments that were posted previously because some people decided to make on over something totally extraneous, and it was both reappraisers [forgiveable since understandable] and reasserters [not so forgiveable]. Start again. : < (

Oh, but Greg, I worked so hard on my comment (which totally supported your main point!) with the links to the different pages on the official Anglican Communion website. Sarah saw it and she will tell you, it was well done. Please, please give back the one comment so I don’t have to recreate it from scratch?.

Totally agree Greg. The focus needs to be on Rosenthal and his position with the ACC if he is the one and the same former head of ENS. This should be a great concern. How did all this come about?

That Rosenthal is a part of this community gives us a significant insight into the ABC, the press releases that come from Lambeth Palace every time the ABC leaves London, and any wordsmithing that comes from the ACC--of course we all already knew this slant existed, but it is important to have a refresher sinus cleaning every now and then to remind us how alive political manipulation is in our church. The question one might have is does revealed truth have anything to do with anything in the established hierarchy--or is it just time for a complete reformation complete with heads on fence posts.

Why do they get away with this blasphemy against the Lord at 815? Because that nest of blood sucking Vipers located there maintain a sad attitude for the propensity of vulgar fecitiousness.

Yeah, Hosea, and a good thing too. It was kinda bizarre before. Well, as was mentioned before, if this business is any indication of newspeak and business as usual it does offer clarity no matter how tangentially.

[comment deleted—off topic, plus personal vulgarity] Gee, sorry, I still like the old Elizabethan Settlement, much better. Guess that is why I became an Anglican believer in the first place. I thought they had learned generosities and leeway, the hard way, from bloody church history.

DrDanFee, you have repeatedly and grossly violated comment policy in the past months. Please cease at once. This is a final warning and there will be no others on any thread.

The violence that the liberal agenda and its advocates are doing to all of us and our church requires a response that is decisive and unwavering. The fear to express at least outrage at the injustices and misbehaviors that are being perpetrated against us borders on collusion with the subversion of the gospel.

Very appropriate comment, Don Armstrong. As Archbishop Orombi said last summer, “we have turned one cheek, and then the other and then the other. . . . how many cheeks do we have?” There is certainly such a thing as righteous indignation, and realizing the role Jim Rosehthal has played in the political manipulation of all things coming out of the ACC, as well as Lambeth Palace, calls for the righteous indignation of everyone who cares about truth.

Perhaps Irenaeus can include “Windsor process” in the next edition of the Revisionist Dictionary. The formatting of the Windsor process page is misleading. The four main categories are covenant, listening process, panel of reference, and Lambeth commission. The uninitiated would look at the formatting and assume that the panel of reference is of greater importance than the primates meetings (buried in the small print). Rather cunning and crafty, to my way of thinking.

What was Rosenthal wearing at the Mass? Did he have his cloak and Groucho mask on as well?

Jim Rosenthal was appointed when Carey was Primate, as was Jonathan Jennings the Archbishop’s Press Officer. Rowan’s chaplain (appointed by him) is, I believe, a member of FiF.

DDw+-as something of a rabid baseball fan, I was intrigued by your post, and somewhat puzzled-for about 3 seconds. Clever, m’boy, clever! While we’re on the topic, how do you think Alomar and Raines’ chances look for induction into the Hall?

Yes Greg, this is a fascinating thread today: Rosenthal, ACC, +++Rowan, In-the-Closet Eucharist… much more fun than yesterday’s thread.

I didn’t care for the tack this thread took the first time. Let’s try it again, everyone, and this time please stay focused on Rosenthal, his role in the ACC, and his relationship to Rowan Williams.
