Zombie’s Photos from Berkeley Marines Protest

Wednesday, February 13, 2008 • 8:08 am

“Zombie” lives in San Francisco and fairly frequently attends the numerous lefty protests (“moronic convergences” in LGF-speak) in the Bay Area, always returning with a collection of remarkable photos. While we generally try to avoid partisan politics, it’s important to shine a light on those parts of the political fringes where hatred of Christians sinks below garden-variety contempt and into threats and implications involving violence, death, and genocide.

Such was the case yesterday at the protest in Berkeley against the U.S. Marine Corps. the very first one caught my eye:

Note the inverted pentagram on the t-shirt.

Zombie says she’ll be posting more photos throughout the day, so I can’t say for sure what else you’ll see if you go there, but already it’s necessary to issue a language warning for some of the signs protesters were carrying. The pro-Marine presence looks to be larger and more organized than most of the counter-protest efforts you normally see, and while they don’t necessarily win any points on taste, you have to give them credit for showing up, which is more than can be said for most of the objects of the Bay Area’s leftists’ scorn.

So with that caveat, here’s the link to Zombietime.

Perhaps the sterilization poster indicated a desperate and pathetic attempt to soften +KJS’s comment about Episcopalians having smaller families, with the consequence of bringing ECUSA to extinction.

Dear christians,
Hi there. My name is Sam, and I’m the young man in the photo above holding the sign with the “implications involving violence, death, and genocide.” You can no doubt imagine my amusement upon checking my email this morning and discovering that overnight I had become a posterboy for hatred of christianity. I feel that this would be a good place to expand upon the sentiments expressed in my sign.
I feel that the christian faith is the most contemptable collection of delusions to have ever besmirched the Earth. For centuries your churches have supressed free thought, burned people at the stake, perpetuated genocide against indiginous peoples, amassed incredible fortunes at sword-point, molested children, etc, etc, ad infinitum. All in the service of a ludicrous imaginary being who exemplifies all that is most base and vile in the reactionary mindset. You claim to love your enemies while torturing them into renouncing their natural convictions. More people have suffered as a result of your “love” then any other genocidal movement in the history of the world. You describe all that is good and natural in this world as a sin, and hold the false docrine of eternal salvation like a carrot before a donkey as you perpetuate your infamous crimes. Any person with two grains of logic can see that your doctrines are the silliest of falsehoods. This is why you have earned my contempt; because you despoil the earth by your very presence upon it. Lucifer is the bringer of enlightenment, and the day is dawning when the youth of America shall follow the example set by their Norwegian comerades in their battle against your false doctrine of death worship. The night sky shell be set alight by the blazing of your sanctuaries, and, hopefully, your immortal souls can be released from the bondage of this wicked Earth which you hate so much, in the form of the martyrdom you relish, and you can go to meet your maker in a more timely manner then you would be otherwise inclined to take.

Hail Satan!

“To love your enemies and do good to those who hate you and spitefully use you is the despicable philospophy of the spaniel that rolls upon its back when kicked. Hate your enemies with a whole heart, and if a man smite you on one cheek, SMASH him on the other. Smite him hip and thigh, for self-preservation is the highest law. He who turns the other cheek is a cowardly dog. Give blow for blow, scorn for scorn, doom for doom, with compound interest liberally added thereunto. Be as a lion on the path. Make yourself a terror to your adversary, and when he goeth his way, he shall possess much additional wisdom to ruminate over.”

Also, I’ll warn you about further remarks like this one:

Dear christians,
How charitable of you to have not deleted my missives. such neighberly conduct on your part is sincirely appreciated by me. Consider this a tip o’ the hat for your tolerenace of a pluralism of ideas.

In regards to your request that I prove my identity, I must say that this would be considerably easier at the moment had the photographer not decided to crop my radiant visage out of his picture. Although this omission is understandable, as my good looks would have doubtlessly detracted from the image’s propaganda value. Unfourtunatly I do not have any previously uploaded images of myself wearing the pants (part of a Chinese army uniform purchased by yours truely in Hangzhou) and shirt (silkscreened by myself) in question. I suppose you’ll just have to wait until I get off work and have a chance to upload my photographs from the action. should be around 7 o’clock tonight. Hopefully the rapture doesn’t occur between now and then.

I’m going to decline your request for a personal encounter at this time, although should you feel compelled to do so you’re more than welcome to stalk me through my blog. My movements are very easy to surmise through that medium, and I am always prepared for the unexpected.

The content of my missive, although doubtlessly similar to sentiments which have been expressed before, is entirely mine. Being a college graduate, I find your implications that I am plagiarizing something distasteful.

And finally, a note to your resident poetaster - I am in fact a goth, not an emo. please adjust any future rhyming taunts to reflect this.

Yours truely,
Rev. Coyotel Samuel Maxwell

[23] Posted by pfirsich on 02-13-2008 at 07:02 PM • top

#17, sorry I didn’t mean to imply you were plagiarizing. I just meant to suggest that if you were in search of conservative Christians to shock with your rhetoric, you might want to consider trying another denomination (SBC, PCA, LCMS, etc.). You’ll find Anglicans a bit jaded seeing as how some of their own Bishops have been using similar rhetoric for decades.

[24] Posted by SpongJohn SquarePantheist on 02-13-2008 at 07:31 PM • top

Hate your enemies with a whole heart, and if a man smite you on one cheek, SMASH him on the other.

Note the inconsistency.  If pfirsich really believed this, then he should not have been able to say this:

How charitable of you to have not deleted my missives. such neighberly conduct on your part is sincirely appreciated by me. Consider this a tip o’ the hat for your tolerenace of a pluralism of ideas.

He should instead have ridiculed Greg for weakness in the face of the enemy.  He should have expected his comments to be selectively edited to make him look like an idiot.  And upon discovering his comments had been edited, he should have praised Greg for doing so.  For this by his own stated light would be the action of a lion in the road, and not that of a cowardly dog.  After all he came onto this board saying:

The night sky shell be set alight by the blazing of your sanctuaries, and, hopefully, your immortal souls can be released from the bondage of this wicked Earth which you hate so much

Doesn’t get much clearer than that regarding who is an enemy.  But he really can’t live by his own principles, so he plagiarizes from others.  He honors the enemy he wants to SMASH for acting in accordance with a principle he accepts, but cannot justify.  What a surprise. Want to bet pfirsich was a Philosophy Major?

pfirsich,

SpongJohn is right. We’ve had years and years of bishops who deny the basic tenets of the faith. Sufis swirling in our cathedrals. Hindus taking communion. Priests marching in pro-abortion parades. All manner of people claiming the Bible speaks favorably of gay relationships. Ordained clerics moonlighting as Druid priests. Wiccans at our interfaith seminars. Prominent lay leaders exposed as pagans. Hell, our presiding bishop denies the uniqueness of Christ, and, truth be told, probably His divinity as well.

So if you really want to epater this bourgeoisie, you’re going to have to do better than off-the-shelf, garden-variety Satanism.

1And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.

2And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.

3And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.

4And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?

5And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.

6And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.

7And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.

8And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

9If any man have an ear, let him hear.

10He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.

11And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.

12And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.

13And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,

14And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.

15And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.

16And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:

17And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

18Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

1And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father’s name written in their foreheads.

2And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps:

3And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth.

4These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.

5And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God.

6And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,

7Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.

8And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.

9And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,

10The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:

11And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

12Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

13And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.

14And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle.

15And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe.

16And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped.

17And another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle.

18And another angel came out from the altar, which had power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe.

19And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of God.

20And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs.

[30]  Michael, that stuff is a whole lot scarier than anything that the self-proclaimed priest of Satan can come up with.  Another thing about our awesome God - he smites better too!
Satan may be the prince of this world, young man (pfirsich), but God is the king of the Universe - your rants are petty and childish compared to God’s Word.  Try reading it sometime - you might change your mind about a few things.  The being that you worship is the great Liar, and your bravado proves that he has been pumping you full of ... yourself.  How very sad.

My dear lambs of god,
Here’s some proof of my identity for ya’:

http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a389/peaches6669/DSC_0888.jpg

You’ll note that the neatly chiseled, well groomed, drop dead handsome face above the sign is indeed one and the same as that on my LJ profile pic.
For your amusement, I’ve included a photograph of myself standing beside an average christian-american. If you compare the two of us objectivly, you’ll note that I look like a lot more Fun. I must admit, however, that I was a little worried that the other guy was thinking of trying to sit on me.

http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a389/peaches6669/DSC_0889.jpg

And now, for your edification, here are a few replies to your comments.

Re: 21 - That would be amusing indeed. I would love to see the disappointment in your eyes.

Re: 23 - Thank you. You no doubt realize what a serious accusation plagiarism is in the academic world. This website being the first of several I have encountered today featuring my likeness, my first reaction was to elaborate on the reasoning behind the sign. I didn’t realize y’all were angelicans until you you mentioned it it presently, and I must concede, your denomination hasn’t really perpetrated that many crimes against humanity. I’m not really inclined to take this dialogue on tour to your spiritual fellows, as I have more Fun things to do.

24- Sir, just because I would like to see your despicable philosophy wiped from the face of the Earth doesn’t mean I can’t be civil. Might makes right, and if one were to go about smiting people willy-nilly (a quality exhibited in spades by the phantom you admire) one would come to a short demise. Hence, I extend every courtesy to those who do not offend me. I did not intend my opening statement as a personal provocation, merely an outline of my sentiments regarding the image of my person reproduced on your site for propagandistic purposes. I applaud the moderator for accepting the relevance of my opinion, and not treating me as the average online flamer. No, I was not a philosophy major.

25 - As I said earlier, I wasn’t initially aware of what denomination this site represented. I think that the Angelicans are a fine example of how christianity is being forced to accept more Satanic ideals in its bid to stay relevant. The “garden variety Satanist” bit is especially encouraging to me. I’m pleased that you recognize that there are enough of us for there to be a garden variety.

26 and 27 - lol.

29 - I have no idea why you posted this.

30 - Actually, the above text isn’t any more scary than the average black metal song. Yes, I have read a fair chunk of your bible, both willingly and under coercion, and all of it which passed before my eyes I absurd. Acceptance of the “truthyness” of your bible is based upon that simplest of fallacies; circular logic. Summed up in a sentence you believe that “The bible is correct because it is the word of god. I know that it is the word of god because it says so in the bible.” At any rate, as far as poetry is concerned, I prefer Swineburne.
Furthermore, you seem to be laboring under some misconception regarding what Satanists actually believe. I don’t believe in your god or devil, but rather I worship the blessed being who actually controls my destiny: me.
You are correct about one thing, namely, that I am a youngster, and I am giggling right now. However I assure you that I am indeed the specimen of the “political fringes” who’s image you are using for propagandistic purposes, and as such I have every right to participate in the dialogue surrounding this image.

31- Lol. Are you implying that I am some sort of fictional mouse? When the Great Culling comes, you shall be spared. wink

32 and 33 - You know, I actually am pretty tranquil. I live an amazingly pleasure filled life, and if I should get hit by a bus as I walk home tonight, I will be satisfied with my works on Earth. Although I have plans for so much more. I don’t need the crutch of promises of a better afterlife to get me through the day. If, after I die, I can relive the memories of my most beautiful triumphs on this Earth, that will be eternal joy for me. If there is nothing after death, as I am inclined to believe, then it won’t matter one way or the other. Although I will be vindicated in the satisfaction I currently take from living on my own terms, as if each day could be the last. If, and this is the biggest if imaginable, entertained only in the most hypothetical for your edification/. If all you christian types are indeed correct and I should happen to be cast down into some Dante-esque lake of everlasting fire, where people gnash their teeth or whatever, before doing so I will flip this good shepherd of yours the bird, at the very least. I have nothing but contempt for this fictional monster who would create people with beautiful minds such as my own, and then demands that I enslave my intelligence, my will, my very life itself to a pack of hypocritical, treacherous, pedophiliac, mass-murdering, mentally deformed old fuddy-duddies. Yes, I would sooner hold my hand over a candle every moment for the rest of my life than submit to such rabble.

For those of you who would pray for me, I’m sure it’ll make you feel better, absolve you of whatever responsibility you might feel for supporting a mythical tyrant who would condemn this bright young man to eternal suffering. However, I should like to inform you that I have committed the one “unforgivable sin” mentioned in your bible, namely, that I have blasphemed the holy ghost. Also, I’ve defiled a few communion wafers in a few picturesque ways, but I suppose thats beside the point. The point is, I have committed the sin for which your book says there is no forgiveness. So there.

I shall be retiring now, and I doubt that I shall grace your forums with my presence again. I feel like this would be a good place to mention that not so old Satanic aphorism which begins “Arguing on the internet is like competing in the Special Olympics…” Anyway, Know yee this; the christians may have created Satanism as a paper tiger. But these days tiger has grown real claws, and it roars back on occasion. Ha, perhaps someday the metaphorical tiger of Satanism will imitate the real one at the SF zoo.

Hey Zombie - I will be praying for you daily for the next 30 days.  You have been decieved by the father of lies, who rules the earth but was created by the God of Jacob and Abraham.  Only through Jesus can your soul be saved; I know you think you have all the answers, and I believe you when you say you read the Bible and it seems as foolishness to you.  That is because the Bible is revealed to you through the Holy Spirit.  You can only receive the Holy Spirit by stating that Jesus Christ is your Lord and Savior.

Know this - Jesus loves you more than you can ever imagine.  He came to earth to teach and be an example to all of us.  He became sin so we can spend eternity with our Father, who created the universe and each of us.  Jesus is not some distant God who is interested in punishing you for every mis-deed; He wants a deep and personal relationship with each of us, as a good father wants a relationship with each of his children.

This isn’t a bunch of “religious hooey”...the Bible is by far the most researched book of all time.  There is more proof of it’s authenticity than any other book ever written.  There is historical, archelogical and scientific proof to show that the Bible is the Word of God.  Check out “Evidence That Demands a Verdict”.

Satan is bent on lying and destroying you.  Jesus only wants the very best for you; He wants you to live life to the fullest; to be truly free.

Jesus - bless Zombie today.  Surround him with your angels and put his full suit of armor on and protect him.  Bind evil spirits and send them to dry places.  Guard his heart and put a hedge of protection around him.  Fill him with Your Holy Spirit and Your peace that passes understanding.  Help him to become the Godly man you designed him to be.  Amen.

How depressing.  All of pfirsich’s comment replies were off in their numbering and so figuring out who the dickens he was talking to was not easy.

RE: “I think that the Angelicans are a fine example of how christianity is being forced to accept more Satanic ideals in its bid to stay relevant.”

Well . . . it’s funny.  The more “relevant” the Episcopal church becomes, the more its membership plummets.  ; > )  Not sure that pfirsich is aware of this, but we’ve lost a third of our membership in the past several decades, and last year lost about 50,000.  We ain’t a large denomination to begin with, so 50,000 isn’t an easy number to swallow in losses.  It seems that “the more we accept satanic ideals” in a bid to “stay relevant” the less popular the Episcopal church become.  Please—no more “relevance” or we may have no more adherents . . . which kind of says something about the popularity of the “satanic ideals” I guess.  ; > )

RE: “Summed up in a sentence you believe that “The bible is correct because it is the word of god. I know that it is the word of god because it says so in the bible.”

I am very sorry that you were raised with such ignorance.  Do as Jerry Springer advises and blame your woefully simplistic vision on your parents.

RE: “rather I worship the blessed being who actually controls my destiny: me . . .

We can tell.

But even the non-Christian, Freud, pointed out that such narcissism was actually because of a profound insecurity and ego-wound.  The compensation for that terrible blow that your ego took—perhaps repeatedly—was the grandiosity that narcissists display.  Somebody’s got to stick up for the poor battered ego, and compensate for its neglect, and you’ve done that.  Thankfully, that nice sense of humor of yours reveals that even you might wonder if maybe you should take yourself as seriously as your belief system urges.

I agree with Sasha—people who work hard at “committing the unforgiveable sin” haven’t done so.  If you have to think about it, or if you are “aware” of it, it most likely hasn’t happened.  The more you talk about it, or wave it about like some sort of trophy, as you did on this thread, the less likely it is you’ve done it.  Think about it less, do it unconsciously, and maybe by the end of your life, you will have accomplished it.  But I wouldn’t bet on it.

Finally, I’ve noticed that in that grandiose and mocking way again, you’ve mentioned your looks a good deal on this thread.  And your picture is a combination of uncomfortableness and artificiality, like you’re trying to play a role but worried that if people look too closely . . . .  Well.  A picture or two can certainly be wrong. And maybe the kid and the large typical American had something to do with feeling a bit insecure.  I’d probably feel a bit nervous with that guy looking at me too.

You’re probably too young to believe it, but looks aren’t all they are cracked up to be . . . If people made fun of you or were uncivil to you as a child, they just hadn’t realized that truth yet.  Real people care about your character and heart.

I’m really not a very good prayer person, pfirsich . . . one of the worst I’ve ever met, to be honest.  But when I think about you, I’ll probably hold you before Jesus Christ as best I can and in my own limited fashion.  He knows your needs and your heart and your character—and He knows your good attributes as well, and smiles a lot more than you might think.

I respect the fact that you’ve gathered up an identity as best you can out of this life—the flotsam and jetsam, so to speak, from the wreckage that life offers us.  At least you care about something, and can be passionate about something, unlike a lot of people who insulate themselves from the chaos and losses—the slings and arrows—by denial and passivity and complacence.

I sincerely appreciate your interaction on this forum yesterday.  May the wind be always at your back, pfirsich, and may the sun shine warm upon your face . . . And the rest of that blessing too!

Hey, its Halloween folks! Dress up in a goth costume, wear a bandanna like some space age cowboy, cool tinted glasses, carry a sign around, indulge in street theater, sure beats having a real job and a real life!

pfirsich,

A truly empty religion would only inspire mild annoyance from its critics.  Your passionate hatred of Christianity, proves the existence of the Triune God; the same God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob;  the same that reveals Himself in the Bible.

Christianity’s embarrassing historical moments?  We repudiate them with you.  We embrace a society where dissent against Christianity can be expressed safely, also with you.  So I don’t believe that you’re really scandelized by Christians being physically dangerous, dissenting in your safe little haven.  Neither do I believe that you are scandelized by those embarrassing moments in history, singling out Christianity with your passionate hatred, and leaving the rest of the rabble-rousers alone.  No, you’re scandelized for the truly scandelous reasons:

“Oh my!  What if it’s TRUE?!!”

Personally, I find your rants encouraging;  Encouraging for Christians, I mean.

For all his posturing, pfirsich seems fairly bright.  I would challenge him to a careful reading of Augustine’s Confessions, especially the sections on Manichaeism.  Once you’ve got that bit down on the parasitic nature of evil, you’re almost there.

Of course, he may not be ready for that yet, in which case I suggest starting first with Plato’s Republic, noting especially Socrates’ interaction with the Sophist Thrasymachus, a rather blustery early incarnation of Anton Lavey.

Sarah, you’re a gem.  Thank you.

William -

Agree with you on both points.  This poor kid is articulate and has potential and Sarah, as usual, is awesome.

Actually, students like this are my favorite because they are in such need of being loved.  I only wish I could have a good chat with him.

pfirsich:
Re:

You know, I actually am pretty tranquil. I live an amazingly pleasure filled life, and if I should get hit by a bus as I walk home tonight, I will be satisfied with my works on Earth.

Logically, this cannot be the case because if you were truly happy you wouldn’t waste so much time being so very angry and ANTI (no matter what that anti- comprises - whether it be war, shoes, Christians or McDonald’s).  People who are truly at peace don’t have to waste time trying to make war.  Therefore, this premise is false.

The same is applicable to appearance - if we are truly happy with inside, then we do not have to try to compensate for it on the outside.

If you ever are really happy with your religion, you won’t have to run about parading and hating - good luck with that.

SpongBob:

That was the most funny, yet, true statement I’ve read in a long time.  You get serious points.  smile

Both sides can sling their diametrically opposed value judgments at each other until the cows come home. Can I ask you, please read the Great Divorce, by C.S. Lewis? Very short, an interesting fantasy about the damned taking a bus ride to tour heaven for a day. It will give you insight into why Christians make the value judgments they do about pride, independence, looks, etc. all the things that seem to be important to you - it might give you insight into your own motivations as well.

Good advice, Dr. Witt.  I had an atheist friend who was saved after reading Plutarch’s Lives.  Go figure.

This guy reminds me of a middle-aged slob I saw in St. Pete 15 years ago driving an old beater station wagon, nearly covered in bumper stickers saying things like “Jesus is Lard”.

Which really translate to “God doesn’t exist.  The bastard!”

Hey pfirsich’s (sorry, I called you Zombie above) - I did pray for you today…and I will continue to.  I pray God’s blessing on you, and that you will see and feel the unlimited love He has for you.

I greatly appreciate this whole thread.

How refreshing to hear pfirsich’s point of view—-strong, smart, straightforward, and I especially admire that he was bold enough to identify himself and speak clearly what he believes, even knowing that many here would disagree.

It’s one of the many things I love about SF

I hate how condescending it sounds when someone says “I will pray for you” but of course, along with many who lurk and read here, I’ll be praying for you too, pfirsich.  I can’t help it.  You care so passionately for your cause and the one you serve, and you’re so strong in it, I can’t help but long for you to know the real One—-the only One—- and to serve Him, and to come on over to the other side, and know the Truth, and be set free.

“May you grasp, together with all the saints, how long and wide and high and deep is the love of Christ.”

I hope we see lots and lots of these rallies and demonstrations in the coming months, on TV.
