Sunday, July 20, 2008 • 6:19 pm

Fascinating segment from the 17 July 2008 broadcast of The Dividing Line, the webcast of Alpha and Omega Ministries. James White tells a whole other segment of Christendom the truth about Robinson. [10 min. mp3, 3.5mb]

Thanks for sharing. Mr. White’s point about reasserters denying God’s ability to clearly reveal His word is the only argument one needs in the face of this idea that actually believing what Scripture says is blasphemy or heresy.

There is much to be discouraged about recently as Lambeth has brought to the surface all the issues running through the Anglican Communion. I’ve been somewhat shocked at how blatant many of the liberals have been the past week and at how far their reach extends.

But I think we need to reorder our identity to focus on our Christianity. Some may disagree with this idea, but what defines Anglicanism is really the Prayer Book worship. Our theology is shared with many other traditions and one would hope issues of polity are seen as secondary or tertiary. I am encouraged to see people outside the Anglican tradition bring attention to these issues. I have not left TEC because my current parish is solid, growing and grounded in the received faith. I am confident God will provide a parish for my wife and I when and if we do come to that point.
