An Open Letter To Bishop Howe

An open letter to Bishop Howe:

Dear Bishop,

Upon reading the Living Church article concerning Mr. Vanderstar’s March 16th letter, I knew immediately I needed to write you.  First, thank you.  Thank you for your open and unequivocal support of the unborn.  Today’s world has strangely and horrifically accepted the unholy actions of abortion as common place and routine.  Life is cheap by today’s standards and therefore expendable and you only need to pick up a newspaper or turn on the television to see an endless stream of examples.  But we as Christians must never see life as common.  It is extraordinary!  It is a gift!  It was and is God’s idea and as such we must stand in affirmation of it if only because our Lord does.  And to our last breath we must affirm that which God said was good.  So, thank you for doing that.

Second as I have shared in the past, I myself was to be aborted and only by God’s grace was spared, so in a tangible way you are speaking for me and thousands, perhaps millions more who wouldn’t be here today if it weren’t for the work of those advocating life.  Please never stop speaking for us.  Never let your voice be silenced concerning the tragic losses abortion has wrought on our society.  We, as a culture, are less because of millions of voices will never be heard as they have been silenced in the womb.  Millions of God’s special creations have been selectively terminated and now it is up to us, those with voices, to speak clearly and articulately for them.  They never got their chance, but we have and will continue to.  TEC’s affiliation with the RCRC is more than embarrassing, it dishonors the God we claim to serve and is sinful.  Therefore it is up to the faithful, the honorable, and those with clarity of vision to stand up and call TEC’s affiliation what it is: an endorsement of sin and evil.

I pray your voice never grows tired and your passion is never dampened by what seems to be a losing cause.

A priest proud to be in the DCF,

Jonathan French
Grace, Ocala

What does a pro-abortionist say to a man like this?  “I’m glad you’re here, but I still think it would have been ok if you’d been killed before birth”?

Ugh.. the insanity of abortion.
