Easter Sunday: Jonathan Edwards on his conversion


The appearance of everything was altered; there seemed to be, as it were, a calm, sweet cast, or appearance of divine glory, in almost every thing. God's excellency, his wisdom, his purity and love, seemed to appear in every thing; in the sun, moon, and stars; in the clouds and blue sky, in the grass, flowers, trees; in the water, and all nature.

It is too bad that for years I equated Jonathan Edwards through the sermon “ Sinners In A Hand Of An Angry God”.  It was in my highschool literature text.  I wish I had been exposed to more of his writings for works such as this show a faith lit by love and devotion to our Savior.
The beauty of his words no doubt reflected the beauty of his soul’s redemption.
