"Be on your guard. Stand firm in the faith. Be brave. Be strong. Be loving in everything you do." - I Corinthians 16:13-14 |
I have changed the setup of the site to "auto-link" web addresses (URL's) in the comments section. You no longer need to enclose links with "href" tags to make them "hot."
Also, please note that due to Satan's spawn comment spammers, we have had to put in place a system that runs all comments through a number of filters before they're actually posted. This accounts for the occasionally long delay between clicking "Submit" and your comment appearing on the site. Please do not click the "Submit" button more than once, or duplicate comments are likely to appear.
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!

"Computer don't go..." quote to DH upon old computer crashing for the upteenth time one day.
How do we get back to comments from earlier days or are they gone?

All comments should be intact. Some recent posts, however, have already cycled out of the main column, so check the monthly archives on the right side. Click a day or a month and you'll get a list of all the posts from that time period, with links to the comment threads.

Just a note to say the site sure is looking spiffy these days. Thanks for the effort. It is MUCH appreciated and needed.
Just to let you know, I've taken down my website and retired from public life. I will not be leading any religious group of any kind.
Peace to all,
Bill Melnyk
Greg,
Good move. Hopefully the filters will detect any really nasty words.
Bill,
Bye, bye.

You will remain in our prayers, William.
# Posted by: Marty at April 16, 2005 12:55 PMGreg, you did such a good job that Oakwyse took one look and folded. Your computer HTML skills drove him form the field. No wonder the PM said all this unpleasantness was due to that internet and people reading it. He forsaw your big guns comming. Keep up the work and fire for effect!!

This site is a stern taskmaster. It demands a lot of my time, but often rewards tenfold. Maintaining it has helped show me the value of perseverance, but it also taught me the power of the new media. I don't know what is going on in Bill Melnyk's life that he felt he had to remove a sign of his spirituality - no matter how misguided we tell him it is - that was obviously so important to him. I hope it is a sign he is reconsidering his journey away from Christianity, perhaps a pause in his step that may see him returning to the love and grace of Christ.
I said a prayer today for Bill Melnyk, and I hope if he reads this he knows that among the denizens of this site he will find not only those willing to take him to task over his Druidism, but those who will provide him with the witness and support he needs should he seek a return journey. He will be doubly surprised when he learns that they are the same exact people.
